We represent our client, a coffee and beverage supply manufacturing company specializing in end-to-end solutions for the F&B industry. They provide high-quality products, innovative services, and reliable business support to help coffee and beverage businesses grow and stay competitive in a dynamic market.
As an R&D Manager, you will lead product development from concept to commercialization while managing and developing the R&D team. You will drive innovation across coffee and beverage products while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, production feasibility, and market relevance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the R&D team, including project priorities, responsibilities, and performance.
- Manage NPD from formulation, laboratory trials, costing, and sampling through factory trials and commercialization.
- Develop and improve coffee, powder beverage, premix, chocolate, matcha, tea, and milk-based products.
- Monitor F&B trends, ingredients, flavors, and consumer preferences to identify new product opportunities.
- Build structured R&D processes, timelines, documentation, and project tracking.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Production, QA/QC, and Supply Chain to develop and launch products.
- Improve existing products in terms of taste, quality, stability, production efficiency, and cost.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of F&B R&D experience, including 2–3 years in a Supervisor/Manager role.
- Experience in coffee, powder beverages, premix, dairy/non-dairy beverages, chocolate, or tea is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of formulation, food ingredients, sensory evaluation, product stability, manufacturing processes, and HPP/costing.
- Proven experience taking products from laboratory trials through factory scale-up and commercialization.
- Proven team leadership and project management experience.
- Knowledge of BPOM, Halal, GMP, HACCP, and food safety systems.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
