As an Exchange Customer Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting, designing, and optimizing enterprise-level email infrastructures for both on-premises and cloud environments. You will work closely with customers to deliver expert guidance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the seamless operation of Microsoft Exchange Server and Exchange Online systems. Your role involves implementing robust email solutions, executing migration projects, and maintaining high-availability environments while providing a world-class customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, deployment, and optimization of Exchange Server environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and adherence to best practices.
Manage and maintain on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based Exchange infrastructures with a focus on high availability and system health.
Execute end-to-end migration projects, including legacy email systems to Exchange Server, and on-premises Exchange to Exchange Online, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
Provide in-depth troubleshooting, advanced problem resolution, and post-migration support for customer environments.
Conduct workshops, pilots, and activations related to Exchange Server and Exchange Online to guide customers in adopting modern solutions.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, delivering clear communication and documentation to ensure alignment across teams.
Utilize PowerShell and other automation tools to streamline administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Support customers in achieving compliance requirements through email retention and governance solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in systems architecture, IT operations, software support, or consulting in enterprise or government environments.
Proven track record in planning, deploying, and managing Exchange Server and Exchange Online environments, including hybrid configurations.
Strong proficiency in troubleshooting complex Exchange infrastructure issues and optimizing system performance.
Experience performing large-scale email migrations with deep knowledge of strategy development, execution, and post-migration support.
Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and compliance-related email solutions.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer-facing interactions.
Relevant certifications in Exchange or Microsoft technologies are a strong advantage.
